what is this site?

Sizeasy allows you to compare dimensions of items you find described on the web often. Many online stores show the dimensions of items like Product Dimensions: 192 x 45 x 32mm. Although useful this doesn't give us a feel for the real size of the item that we would get going into a high street store. Sizeasy allows you to take this size information and see it drawn out to scale next to everyday items so you get a real feel for its size.

Info

where do I start?

Just a few very simple steps.

  • Find the size information for the product you want to compare from an online store or manufacturer website and copy the text to the clipboard.
  • In the "add item" tab type a name for your item. This is just to help you keep track of what the item is.
  • Paste the dimensions from the clipboard into the "Size" text box and press add.
  • Now for it to be useful you want to compare against another item. Go to the "compare to" tab and choose an everyday item to compare your item with. Press "add".
Info

what format should the size be in?

Most formats you see will be accepted. Some of the most typical examples are; 12.6x34x44millimetres, 12.6" x 34" x 44", 12.6 x 34 x 44inches. Sizeasy automatically does unit conversion for millimetres, centimetres, metres, feet and inches (mm, cm, m, ft, in).

Info

what are the different views?

The default view is "3d view" good for at a glance comparison. Take a closer look at how the item sizes compare by trying the front, side and top views. These views overlay the items on top of each other so you can get a close look at how the different dimensions compare.
